Randy Jackson balks at Simon Cowell rumors

Randy Jackson has a message for all "American Idol" fans: "don't believe everything you read or hear." That's what the popular judge recently told TMZ after being asked about the rumors that Simon Cowell could be leaving the show for the American version of "X Factor."

At first, Randy played it extremely coy with reporters, asking "who said that?" after being asked about Simon leaving the show. One thing is certain, though: Randy at least seems to believe that Cowell will be staying put.
Even if Simon does leave, Randy seems to be taking his status on "Idol" in stride: "I'm just trying to hold it down." The next season of the popular Fox reality show begins next week, and it will feature a panel of guest judges before Ellen DeGeneres makes her first appearance in January.
