Elton John Helps Eminem with Drug Problem

Opposites attract, an old saying that continues to have relevance. Rapper Eminem and singer Elton John are about the same as cream cheese and a hockey puck, but they came together years ago for the hit single, "Stan," and are back together again. And the reason may be a bit of a shock.
Elton John has been helping the rap artist over the last 18 months with a drug addiction. And "he's doing brilliantly," John says.

Eminem admitted back in May that he'd been dealing with a drug issue so bad that at one point he was taking up to 20 Vicodin, Ambien and Valium within a day.

"The numbers got so high," he told Vibe magazine, "I don't even know what I was taking."
John has been open with his own drug problems, telling Danny Baker in an interview that they made him "arrogant" and "cocky."

"I'm there if people want my help," he continued. "If people ask for help you tell them where to go but there's no point advising people if they don't want to do it."

And Eminem did just that. He told The Sun that Elton John understood the pressure and hardship of drug addiction. He revealed he went to the singer and said, "Look, I'm going through a problem, and I need your advice."

Maybe we can look forward to another duo in the future.
