Rihanna New Gun Tattoo

Rihanna flew her new BFF, BangBang, the New York based tattoo artist to her place in Los Angeles in order to get some new body ink.

Never one to shy away from controversy, Rihanna’s latest choice is a small handgun image on her rib cage under her right arm. To see the pictures click HERE.

Although, RiRi is likely to be criticised for her tattoo, BangBang, was quick to explain that the image is simply “represents strength and power”.

Speaking to the MTV US team, he revealed that the starlet has been considering the idea for over a year "she gave me a call and asked if I could come out to her house… and I suggested she finally get the gun."

It turns out that initially they’d planned for the tattoo to be just below her shoulders but changed it to her ribcage because "it takes away from her face. You don't want to be starting at tats. You want to be staring at her face."

Since the incident on February 8 with her boyfriend Chris Brown, Rihanna has been almost constantly in the headlines but BangBang wasn’t too interested in her relationship problems “I don't really know what's going on with her," he said. "She's great. She's perfect. We had a blast, and we had a lot of fun."

Two days ago, on March 25, Chris Brown’s lawyers withdrew their request for a special court hearing prior to his April arraignment in relation to two felony counts of assault likely to cause great bodily injury and making criminal threats, which reportedly left Rihanna battered.
