Another Filipino-American auditioned for the highly anticipated sequel of the monster hit movie Twilight, this time it’s High School Musical star Vanessa Hudgens!
After Fil-am Michael Copon lost the role of the werewolf Jacob Black because Taylor Lautner decided to come back, Twilighters are now in the look-out on who will play the werewolf Leah Clearwater. The said female werewolf is Jacob Black’s feisty and heartbroken frienemy in the novels.
Ashley Greene, who plays Alice Cullen in Twilight, revealed that High School Musical star Vanessa Hudgens auditioned for the role of Leah Clearwater. Ashley said that it would be great if Vanessa will be part of New Moon.
Vanessa Hudgens is already a star in her own right, two top-rating movie made for television (HSM 1 and 2) and a box-office hit (HSM 3) under her belt. Her inclusion in New Moon will boost the popularity of the Vampire franchise even more! Besides, Vanessa already has a huge fanbase which is very much the same demographic as the Twilighters, she will surely add more box-office potential in New Moon.

UGH! she cannot be leah. seriously, hsm cannot be affiliated with twilight. its too different and too wrong. especially with vanessa hudgens.
OMG if she is in twilight it will just kill the whole thing! i mean really this movie was alright to begin with and now they want to add some awful actress like vanessa?(No offence). Come on people!Leah Clearwater should be played by some actress who nobody knows and doesn't have all of this extra baggage with her!the part would be so much better played if someone else did it! besides i already see her kissing Zac! i cant see her hanging around Jacob Black as well!
she's way to hsm to do this movie and has way to much baggage! she would be a really bad Leah! the one thing that i like about this movie was i could go and watch it with my little cousins and not want to throw up! but if she is in this movie i think that i would kill it for me and my cousins!
Please...seriously? I think that it would completely ruin the whole idea of the movies and the books just for the fact that her roles in HSM were much less serious. This would NOT be a good idea and in my honest opinion I would be highly disappointed if they chose her instead of someone who is lesser known. These movies are going to be popular anyways without her giggly high pitched voice ruining it.
Please...seriously? Vanessa Hudgens would NOT be the person to use for these movies... Her giggly image would completely ruin the personality of Leah Clearwater in the movies. Her role in HSM was fine for the younger people but many viewers would much rather see someone unknown filling the darker character of Leah, not a blooming teenager who came from a musical series. I just hope they reconsider who they look for to fill Leah's role.
she can NOT! be in new moon, Eclipse, or Breaking Dawn. It would just ruin it completely!
